A New Year.

Tomorrow marks the first day of 2008. And I'm excited!

2007 was a rough year, a really rough year. Family issues, medical issues and work issues, lets just say it hasnt been our year. Through everything, I believe that its made me a better and stronger person. But I have a feeling that 2008 is going to be so much better.

I hope that everyone has a great start to 2008.

Meteor Shower

Was anyone else crazy enough to sit outside last night in the freezing cold to watch the meteor shower??
We were watching the 11 o'clock news last night and they mentioned a meteor shower happening. So Mark went outside to look. He saw a few so we got a blanket and some towels (the bed of his truck had ice on it) and we sat out there for about half an hour watching.
I tried to take a video of it with my digital camera but it was coming out too dark, you couldn't see the meteor. It was neat. I have never seen one before.

Not This Month

No baby announcement this month.

I'm going to go drown my sorrows in a bowl of ice cream.

Then to go Bunco and try to get my mind off of things.

Sleeping

has become a daunting task these days.
I've had restless leg syndrome since before they knew what it was. I went to the doctor, he told me that it might be our matress, to take 2 aleve half an hour before I go to bed or that I could be anemic. He did bloodtests and everything was fine. So, I basically think he thought I was crazy.
A year later, I see a commercial on tv explaining everything that I go through every night. Then, we didnt have enough money to pay for the perscription or doctors visit so I just dealt with it, thinking that maybe it would just get better. Now this last week, it has been sooo bad. I haven't been able to get to sleep before 2:30/3 am and then I was up at 9 and am exhausted.
Now, again, we dont have the money to spare on the perscription or the doctor's appointment. So I'm left with just being exhausted all the time.

The past 2 nights, when I have gotten to sleep eventually, I've been having dreams about my brother. He isn't around and hasn't really been my entire life. But for some reason he's been in my dreams. The first night, he was this caring older brother that was listening to my baby and life problems and was very sweet about everything. Then last night, he came to visit me at work and was playing with all the kids. It was really strange.

Today Was Rough.

I love the rain, but I dont like the rain when I have to work. The kids go NUTS because they can't go outside and run off their energy. I had completely lost my patience by 3:00. And I didn't get off work until 5:30.
It's not like every other day when its the one kid that doesnt listen to me when everyone else does. This was EVERY child not listening to EVERY adult. But I can understand because they had no where to run off all of their energy.
Sometimes it worries me that I have been losing my patience easier than normal lately. If I'm going to have my own preschool, numerous kids, 5 days a week...How am I going to keep my patience with them when I can't now with the 8+ kids 5 days a week? And its not the little ones that make me lose my nerve, its the ones that are 4 years and older. The same age group I would have at my preschool. I still have 3 years before I'm finished with school and hopefully by then I will have learned to keep my patience longer.
And to top it off, I just found out there was a group meeting tonight and now it's too late to go. My e-mail didnt tell me that I had a comment, then when I happened come on here to write I noticed my new comment. UGH, and I wanted to go too...

On a better note, my MIL is selling my candles like crazy at her work!!! I've almost sold all of my candles that I made last summer. And my boss is taking some with her on Saturday to the Craft Fair in town. Now all I need to do is pay off my credit card I used to buy the supplies then stock back up and make new ones for this coming summer! Hopefully sales will be better this summer than last summer. I'm going to be optimistic and say they will because I'm going more weeks this upcoming summer than I did last summer. And I know what I'm doing now!!

4 of my "kids"!
They look so cute and innocent!

Let The Countdown To Christmas Begin!!

So, now that Turkey Day is officially over I can start my countdown to Christmas :) I love Christmas. After yesterday being kinda rough, hoping to be pregnant by Thanksgiving and all, I decided to decorate for Christmas today! It was fun and now my house is very festive!

So here's to enjoying my Christmas decorations, counting down 'till Christmas and hoping for that Christmas pregnancy announcement. After all, this month has gone remarkably better and the meds have done a great job, better than last month, we just might get that Christmas announcement! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
32 days until Christmas!!

Would it be possible

to refuse to go to doctors appointments and still get pregnant??
Everytime I have gone to an appointment he tells me something else that is wrong.
When does it end?

Brownies...

are a wonderful comfort food!

Tomorrow, or Tuesday depending on if they are closed for the holiday, I need to make a doctor's appointment for the end of the week so I can start meds again. Which is absoutly dissapointing. I know, I should have "realistic" expectations that most of the time it doesn't work on the first try. But I figured that maybe we were different, or lucky. Not this time.

I know we haven't "technically" been trying for that long. It will be 2 years in March. But it feels like forever. And I know there are people out there that have been trying for a lot longer than we have...they just seem so much stronger than me. But it just feels like my body is failing me. Its my body's fault this didnt happen sooner, and I had idiots for doctors that wouldn't test me for anything. And now finally, almost 2 years later, I found a doctor who diagnosed the problem and is helping us continue and succeed in our journey.

Looking at the positive side, which I've been trying to convince myself there's a positive side, I have another month to lose a few more pounds, let my life more in "order, save more money...

I Spent The Day

With the most amazing little boy ever, my nephew Tristan.

I've had him every Saturday for the past 3 weeks. I am so in love with him. He's absoutly amazing. Last week he started walking and last Sunday was his first birthday.

(this picture is kinda weird, but it shows him walking!)

He amazes me and I am so proud if him!!
And to see my parents with him is wonderful. I can't wait until I can give them their first grandchild. They are going to be such great grandparents. They are the best parents ever and have done so much for us. I appreciate them now, more than I ever have before.

I'm Officially Off Meds!!!

Well, for atleast 3 weeks. He said that everything looks better and is working better. If nothing happens in 3 weeks then we start all over. He does about 6 cycles and if they dont work then we get tested more to find out whats wrong and try something different.
I dont want to get my hopes up that I wont have to do another cycle of meds. But I can't help but be excited!! I tend to get excited and then when nothing happens I get really upset.
So, here's to hoping and praying that we finally get what we have been waiting for.

October 23, 2007

So...

The meds worked. But he found something else that needs to be fixed. So, that means more meds and I go back Thursday for another ultrasound. I'm excited that the meds worked but that something else has come up makes me sad. I know we've only been trying for a year and a half, and it really isnt too long. But it seems like forever to me. Hopefully soon things will get in order.

And My Diagnosis Is...

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Basically, I have bunches and bunches of cysts on my ovaries. He said that I’ve had this condition for a long time and he doesn’t have a reason as to why it was showing up now. He estimated that there were about 60 or 70 cysts on my ovaries. So….We cant get pregnant on our own. I’m not infertile but I’m “subfertile” as my doctor put it. I’m not producing enough eggs because of the cysts on my ovaries. He put me on meds to help me produce eggs and I have to go back for another ultrasound on Monday.

I was scared when he first told me that those black spots on my ultrasound were cysts. After we talked about it and what we were going to do I felt better. I know that these cysts are harmful to me in any way. But the fact that we cant get pregnant on our own is still setting in. After 1 ½ years of trying we finally know what’s wrong and what we have to do to fix it.
